Our Elementary program is developed to ensure content mastery in language arts, math, science and social studies. Our Middle and High School programs are geared towards students seeking college preparatory and career path goals. The solid academic expectations, the credits required, and the level of instruction at the Academy qualify students to meet accreditation guidelines, North Carolina Department of Education standards, and university admissions criteria.

Elementary K-2

Our program focuses on an engaging curriculum that is designed to stimulate young minds. All materials are presented from a biblical, non-denominational world view. The pillar of our elementary classroom is reading and language arts, since academic achievement in all areas of the curriculum is based upon students' reading and writing skills. Students are encouraged to participate in our Accelerated Reader Program which challenges students to read at their own level with accountability through computerized tests. Math course work enables students to find order and reason and to communicate and solve problems. Exploration and experimentation is also promoted in science and history as students learn about the wonders of creation.

Core Curriculum

For core course work, our Program K-2 utilizes A Beka Book’s curriculum. The curriculum is designed to ensure superior academic achievement. It provides a systematic phonics program that teaches to students read at an early age. Grammar and creative writing principles are reinforced by consistent daily practice and review. Spelling, vocabulary, and poetry help students improve their ability to read, write, think and speak. The math program allows students to develop thinking skills for problem solving. The science and health program teaches students about creation and the Creator. The history and geography program helps students gain understanding of their world. Fine arts and technology electives are deigned to round out the student’s education with art, music and speech being key components to the programming.

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. - Ephesians 1:11-12
